About Me

I believe hard times are coming for all of us, and if we prepare we will survive. We all need to be more self sufficient, and less dependent on government. The Prepper idea is good but most of us don't have the time, resource or skills to do it the proper way. I prepare the best way I can, even a little is better than nothing. Floods, hurricanes, earthquakes, tornados, plaques and many other things happen or will happen. Prepare as if you will never see another store or hospital again.

Guest house

Since I live far from a town or folks, when we do have family or friends visit it is so hard to put them up in our small house, so I want to have a guest house. It would be small and since we have about 23 acres it would sit among the trees and have a spectacular view of mountains and the deer and other animals would be all around, and solitude galore.

Well while walking on the back part of our property I saw that someone had move in a small log cabin on to the back of a 20 acre parcel. It is still on the trailer they moved it with, small with a covered front porch. Looks like it need a lot of work but I could do that. I fell in love with it and I think family would just love to hang out in something like that, rough it a bit and see no one. I took pictures of the cabin. I will ask around to see who owns it and see if it is for sale and if it is not I now know how to build what I want. It is so cute, I just love it.
The pictures show the side and the back. I have timber on my property I could use for this and I know someone that could do the things I could not do.
I have all winter to plan this thing and get things together, my kids will love it.
