On the oprah show she had this recipe and I tried it, changing a few things , it is sooooo good.
What I did is at the bottom of this
Funky Pasty
Oprah's versionIngredients:Serves 3–4
- 1 pound spaghetti or linguine
- 11 to 14 ounces cherry tomatoes , red and yellow
- 2 handfuls of fresh marjoram and basil , leaves picked
- 6 to 8 glugs extra-virgin olive oil
- 1 clove of garlic (peeled and finely chopped)
- Splash of red wine vinegar
- Sea salt and freshly ground black pepper
Put pasta in large pot of boiling water and cook until al dente. Halve tomatoes, put in bowl and add herbs, olive oil, garlic and vinegar.
Season to taste, then scrunch tomatoes until slightly mushed. Drain pasta, and while still steaming, mix with tomatoes. Mix well!
Separate onto plates and serve.

MY version
I had to make changes because I didn't have all the items.
I used sliced tomatoes, more like bite size, dried marjoram and basil, apple cider vinegar.
While the pasta is cooking make your sauce and you can adjust it to your taste, I used a teaspoon of basil for two servings and a good sprinkle of marjoram. The oil and vinegar bring the dry herbs to life so keep testing the taste.
I sprinkled the top with cheese, just a little.
This is a whole meal, with garlic bread or bread sticks. I could not get enough.

hey Lisa -
Just found your blog and it is so fun. Some great stuff here. Thanks for being supportive of my efforts as well and linking my blog earlier this spring. I did not know you had a blog of your own until I found you doing a web search to see how my own blog would come up and - BAM - you were there linking me in the search. Awesome soaps and lotions - oh and I love the pics of your dog.
Kay, send me an address and I will send you some soaps.
Lisa
