About Me

I believe hard times are coming for all of us, and if we prepare we will survive. We all need to be more self sufficient, and less dependent on government. The Prepper idea is good but most of us don't have the time, resource or skills to do it the proper way. I prepare the best way I can, even a little is better than nothing. Floods, hurricanes, earthquakes, tornados, plaques and many other things happen or will happen. Prepare as if you will never see another store or hospital again.

Big Horn Sheep

We made a trip to the shop in Plains to put out Christmas things and to do a general inventory to see what was needed. On the way back we saw several herds of big horn sheep, large herds, over a hundred in each. The last herd was near town and scattered across the road. They don't move like deer do so you have to work your way around them. My eyes are such that I can see if something is very close to me, closer than 5 or 10 feet so all the other herds were just a blur to me, but this one we weaved the truck through them and there were huge Rams just beside the truck. I opened my window and they were so beautiful. Huge horns that curled over their heads. Most of the females and young ones were jumping over a fence and leaving the road. They walked up to the fence and did a jump straight up and then over. I have never been able to see these animals this well because of my eyesight so this was nature in the raw and beautiful. Totally involved in the wonder of nature, then the idiot behind us starts blowing his horn. These guys don't care, honk all day, they move when they want to move. However, the horn ruined the moment and we tried to get through the mass of sheep.
I live in a wonderful place and so blessed to see such wonders---
