About Me

I believe hard times are coming for all of us, and if we prepare we will survive. We all need to be more self sufficient, and less dependent on government. The Prepper idea is good but most of us don't have the time, resource or skills to do it the proper way. I prepare the best way I can, even a little is better than nothing. Floods, hurricanes, earthquakes, tornados, plaques and many other things happen or will happen. Prepare as if you will never see another store or hospital again.

Busy---

Buffalo steaks ready for the grill
I have been too busy to write anything here, so just a few updates. A new shop opened up in Trout Creek so Bruce and I will be showing our things there. Cuz is also there, he is building me a display unit that is sooooo cool.

A booth opened up at the grainery but we haven't decided to take it yet. It is small and Bruce would have to keep his case in Rosemary's booth. When you get a bunch of women working together there is always problems and so it is here, they love to play little games, I won't get involved in that so we just wait it out.

I have also decided to do some book binding. I am sure I can do it. I want to have real leather covers and make mostly blank journals, maybe some sketch books. I am trying to find the right paper, leather and so forth before I get too far into it.

The snow has finally stopped and I am attempting to cultivate my garden, time keeps me from just going out there and getting it done. I have created a giant burn pile with some things I cleaned up where Bruce stored his rocks, I moved the rocks and cleaned up, the tractor was a BIG help with all that, so much more to do before it gets hot.
My youngest daughter and her husband were here for a short visit, on their way to the Flathead to work on a boat. We enjoyed their visit and it was much too short. We had buffalo steak, so big it took only two for all of us. I am sure they want to live here.
I wonder what folks will say about my food storage now that food is getting hard to get. I have had a lot of negative comments about a whole room of food, but we will see. I just ordered 50 lbs of rice from the Mennonites, where I have a wholesale account.

I highly recommend binding your own books. I decided to get a comb binding machine. Ever since then, I've been looking for any excuse I can to use it.

I don't know what a comb binding machine is, but sounds interesting. I have seen several leather bound books done the old ways and I really want to try it. I am thinking of using leather from an old pair of chaps, good leather just not used anymore.
Thanks for your comment.
