About Me

I believe hard times are coming for all of us, and if we prepare we will survive. We all need to be more self sufficient, and less dependent on government. The Prepper idea is good but most of us don't have the time, resource or skills to do it the proper way. I prepare the best way I can, even a little is better than nothing. Floods, hurricanes, earthquakes, tornados, plaques and many other things happen or will happen. Prepare as if you will never see another store or hospital again.

I'm back

My newest soap, a happy duck--

I have been away simply because I haven't had time to be here. I have most of my products listed on my web site now and have sold a few things, but not nearly making a profit. Who knows maybe I never will, but it is fun. I just finished some molded soaps for easter, they are so cute.

My utility room needs another cabinet just to hold all my soap stuff. The snow is down to about a foot now so maybe this week I can get ot the barn and get the tractor started and gat a cabinet over here and install it.

Rocky and I went for a walk today because I thought the snow had melted enough to get through it, well it was up to my knees and was a lot of work just to go a few steps. We stopped before we got to the valley because I knew if I ever got into the valley I would not get out. Anyway we sat under a tree and had our lunch. there was signs of elk all over the place, we have been seeing them up around the house so I was not surprised. I found where they were bedding down under the trees out of the deep snow. A cougar was sited back there but I saw no signs of it, wolf tracks, but may have been before the last snow.

While we were snowed in I got a lot done, read a few books and got to the midway mark in my novel. Searched records for some more of my ancestors. My GGgrandmother was a rich southern Belle and was disowned for marring my GG grandfather so records can't be found. I did get his civil war records. These things stir my spirit and I am closer to things that have been hidden from me for so long.
